What is this? The four details the support team needs to fix a problem quickly, and how to let them look at your account with you.

The Basics

Most problems are fixed in one reply when the first message already says where it happened and on what. Before you write, gather these four things:

  1. Which version you were using — the mobile app on a phone or tablet, or the web version at app.yachtwave.com in a browser. The two are different programs and are fixed separately.
  2. A screenshot of the error or the screen that looks wrong.
  3. Your device, if you were on the mobile app — for example iPhone 15 or Samsung S23.
  4. The app version number, if you were on the mobile app. Open My Account, scroll to the bottom, and copy the version shown there.

How to Let Support Look at Your Account

Support can only open your account when you allow it, and you can switch it off again afterwards.

  1. Open the mobile app and go to My Account.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Switch Permit Support Team Access to Enabled.
  4. Tell support it is on. When the problem is solved, switch it off again.

Tips

  • One problem per message gets a faster answer than a list.
  • Say what you expected to happen as well as what did happen.
  • If the web version and the mobile app disagree, say so: that detail usually points straight at the cause.

Frequently Asked

Where do I find the app version?

In the mobile app, open My Account and scroll to the bottom. The version number is printed there.

Does enabling Support Team Access give support my password?

No. YACHTWAVE has no passwords; sign-in is by a code sent to your phone. The switch only lets the support team open your account from their side while it is on.

I set something up on the web and it has not appeared in the app. Is that a bug?

Usually not. Fully close the mobile app and open it again; on the web version, click the circular refresh button at the bottom right of the page.
